# Dropshipping in Bimp: supplier goods without a warehouse and a commission agent price list

> Dropshipping in Bimp means selling a supplier's goods without posting them to your warehouse: the system calculates your commission and your debt to the supplier. Turn on "Dropshipping" in the product card, create a "Commission agent price list" with a price and "Commission %", and then issue a Customer order with the "Dropshipping" checkbox and a sale with the statuses "In transit" and "Received".

## What dropshipping is in Bimp

Dropshipping in Bimp is a model in which you sell a supplier's goods to a customer without posting them to your own warehouse. The system calculates your commission and records the debt to the supplier by itself. In reports, you see your income as a commission fee, not as revenue from selling stock. **Example.** The online store "Home & Garden" sells lawn mowers from the supplier "AgroTech" for UAH 10,000 with a 15% commission. After a sale, UAH 1,500 is the store's income, and UAH 8,500 is the debt to "AgroTech".

## How to set up a product card for dropshipping

For Bimp to treat a product as a dropshipping product, turn on the "Dropshipping" checkbox in its card and specify the supplier.

1. Open **Warehouse → Products and services** and create a new product card: see [Products and services](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/products/products-and-services/).
2. In the "Main" block (left column), scroll down and tick the "Dropshipping" checkbox.
3. In the "Accounting" section, choose in the "Supplier" field the counterparty whose goods you sell.
4. Save the card.

> [!WARNING] Dropshipping mode (like "Kit") is turned on only when the product is created. After the first save, you cannot change the checkbox.

## How to create a commission agent price list

A commission agent price list sets the selling price and your commission percentage for the products of one supplier.

1. Open **Directories → Commission agent price lists** and click **Create**.
2. Fill in "Name" (for example, "Dropshipping AgroTech") and "Supplier", then click **Save**. After saving, the tabs on the right become active.
3. Open the "Prices by product" tab and click **New price**.
4. In the row, fill in:
   - "Product": the list contains only products with the "Dropshipping" checkbox;
   - "Price": the final price at which you sell to the customer;
   - "Commission %": your share of the selling price;
   - "Currency" and "Date": the price currency and the date it starts to apply;
   - "Article": optional, useful for matching with the supplier's codes.
5. Save the price list.

## How to issue a sale under the dropshipping scheme

You issue a sale with the usual chain of documents, with two differences: the "Dropshipping" checkbox in the order and the statuses "In transit" and "Received" in the sale.

1. Create a Customer order: see [Customer order](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/sales/customer-order/). In the left panel, open the "Other" section and tick the "Dropshipping" checkbox to choose a product with that mark.

2. Based on the order, create a Sales of goods and services document and set the status "In transit".
3. When the customer has received the goods, change the sale status to "Received". Only then does Bimp make a settlements movement and accrue the commission.
4. After the money arrives, record the [Customer payment](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/sales/customer-payment/).
5. Pay the supplier from the order row in the **Sales → Orders** list with the "Supplier payment" button (it appears when you hover over the row).

> [!NOTE] You do not need to create a Supplier order: all settlements with the supplier are made based on the Customer order.

## Where to see the commission and the debt

The accrued commissions and the debt to the supplier are shown in the "Settlements with counterparties" report: see [Settlements with counterparties](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/reports/settlements-report/). Records appear in it after the sale has received the status "Received".

## FAQ

**Do I need to create a Supplier order for dropshipping?**

No. The supplier is paid based on the Customer order; a separate Supplier order is not created.

**Why is the product not found in the commission agent price list?**

Only products with "Dropshipping" turned on in their card get into the commission agent price list. This checkbox is set only when the product is created; after the first save it cannot be changed, so create a new card.

**Can I do dropshipping with product modifications or in different currencies?**

No. Dropshipping does not work with product modifications, and settlements with the customer and the supplier must be in the same currency.

**Where can I see the accrued commission?**

In the "Settlements with counterparties" report, after the sale has received the status "Received".
