> In the Ecosystem, the price in the "Goods transfer" document is the supplier's income and the seller's cost price. The retail price stays only in the seller's database, and the supplier does not see it. The debt currency is taken from the contract specified in the transfer document.

## Which price means what in the Ecosystem

The Ecosystem has two prices: the transfer price between partners and the seller's retail price. The first is shared by both parties, and the second is visible only to the seller.

| Price | Where it is specified | For the supplier | For the seller |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transfer price | The "Goods transfer" document | The selling price, the amount they expect to receive | The purchase price, from which the [cost price](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/costing/cost-price-guide/) is formed |
| Retail price | The sales document | Not visible | Revenue |

**Example.** A manufacturer transfers sneakers to a store for UAH 2,000, and the store sells them to a customer for UAH 3,500. For the manufacturer, the selling price is UAH 2,000. For the store, the cost price is UAH 2,000, the income is UAH 3,500 and the gross profit is UAH 1,500. The manufacturer does not know that the final price was UAH 3,500.

## The price in the Goods transfer document

The supplier specifies the transfer price in the "Goods transfer" document: see [Transferring and receiving goods](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/sales/ecosystem-goods-transfer/). For the supplier, it is the selling price to the partner, and for the seller, it is the cost price of the goods. When the seller's gross profit is calculated, Bimp subtracts exactly this price from the sales amount; the cost price appears in reports after the [Sales report](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/sales/ecosystem-consignment-sales/). For an example of the report, see [Gross profit](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/reports/gross-profit-report/).

## The price in the sales document

The seller specifies the retail price in the sales document for the end customer: it forms their revenue and their markup. This price is stored only in the seller's database.

> [!WARNING] The final selling price is not shown anywhere in the supplier's database. They see only the fact of the sale and their own transfer price.

## In which currency the debt arises

The currency of the seller's debt to the supplier is taken from the contract specified in the "Contract" field of the "Goods transfer" document. It is not chosen separately at each transfer. If the debt was created in the wrong currency, change the contract: see [Supplier contract](https://bimpsoft.com/en/help/counterparties/supplier-contract/).

## FAQ

**Why does the supplier not see my markup?**

This is built into the Ecosystem: the final selling price stays only in the seller's database. The supplier sees the fact of the sale and their own transfer price.

**Why was the debt created in dollars rather than hryvnias?**

The debt currency is taken from the contract specified in the "Goods transfer" document and is not chosen manually at each transfer. Check the contract currency.

**Which price is the cost price of the goods for the seller?**

The price the supplier specified in the "Goods transfer" document. Bimp subtracts exactly this price from revenue when calculating gross profit.
