Working with documents: the basics
Most operations in Bimp are documents linked to each other. This section describes the mechanics shared by all documents: create based on, links, reposting, archive, additional fields and what to do when a document does not save.
- The Links tab: all documents of a deal in one placeHow to see all documents linked to an order in Bimp: payments, shipments, supplier orders. The link tree, buttons and search.
- How to change or repost a posted documentHow to edit a posted document in Bimp or repost it without changes to recalculate balances and cost price, even if production has already been created from it.
- How to delete or archive a document, directory record or productBimp does not delete documents, directory records or products permanently: they are cancelled and archived. How to do it, restore a record and handle stock.
- External links in documents: Google Drive, websites, filesHow to add a link to Google Drive or a website to a customer order, supplier order, work order or production order, and how to open, change and delete it.
- Additional fields for products and counterpartiesHow to create your own additional fields for products and counterparties in Bimp, and then fill them in on the product or counterparty card.
- Common interface errors: NaN instead of numbers and report totals when searchingWhat to do if Bimp shows NaN instead of numbers, and why a report total does not change when you type text into the search field.
